Go over to Jive’s Customer Hub. Lots of chatter there under an announcement from Scott Brighton.
Good day everyone,
I do not make a habit of opening up old discussions.
Now that time has passed, I would like to hear from Jive-X Community Managers who have:
- Moved from Jive to Lithium
- Moved to a different platform altogether
- How do you and your members like Lithium?
- If you moved to a choice other than Lithium, which did you choose and why?
Cheers & thank you,
We are one of the external communities that Lithium acquired from Jive. So far, we have not migrated off of the Jive-x code-base. We just got the 9.0.4 upgrade (which is the last one we will get). We are now weighing our options regarding staying on this platform for some time. Lithium is supporting it with security patches/major bug fixes, etc. or what we might move to.
The migration over to Lithium support from Jive was rocky - no doubt - because Lithium has had to upskill their employees to support Jive, but in general, now that we are Lithium, we are getting better support than we did as Jive customers after the acquisition.
We are fortunate in that we run on-prem and I have a dev team of my own, so we are fairly self-sustaining.
We are looking forward to working with Lithium on their roadmap and continuing the conversation with them about some things that we'd need to see in their platform to be better able to migrate over to their software from the old Jive-x code-base.
I did a migration from Jive to Lithium and their team is strong indeed.
I like the simplicity of the layout and the built-in analytics, but wish the Groups feature matched Jive's.I have moved on and looking into enterprise level platform options - Jive really was awesome for document management as well as private Groups.
Good luck with your community :-)
