    Email notification on new content only - not comments

      I have a question about fine-tuning email notifications to only send a new email when a discussion is created - but NOT when a user comments on the thread.  Does anyone know if that is possible?


      We are considering using the email notification process to send a email on discussion creation - that email being sent to Salesforce to trigger a new support case to be created.  We can then use these cases in Salesforce to calculate how many were deflected through the Jive discussions we have available for our customers.


      Any insight would be highly appreciated.
