    In our 2015.3 release all customers that are using our basic status levels and point rewards within our Jive cloud environments are getting improvements to their experience.

    These improvements will help:

    • Better onboard new users to using Jive functionality
    • Better onboard new users to the Community
    • Drive adoption of community features and functionality
    • Identify and Engage with Community Advocates

    Upgrade day quick tips New

    • Check your old image sizes, you may want to update them to higher quality images for a better experience.
    • Check the point ranges for levels within the new rewards console.
      • Suggestion: Add additional levels!  Use the Badge and look for the level numbers if you need a quick win.
      • Suggestion: If your level goals are very low, increase the spacing a bit, each new 'quest' is worth ~100 points, so it depends on how many badges you have.
    • Create a few general quests so that users have a few fun things to do
      • Set a weekly calendar reminder to create new quests that target key content that the user should read.

    • Additional events are now available for rewarding users

    How a user gains global points has not changed, but now we have smaller buckets of levels called 'missions' that help rollup how a user is gaining all these points in an easier to see way.  Missions roll up one more level into one of the 6 business strategies, which can also hand out rewards.

    Profile - Overview

    • User profiles now have a section that highlights their accomplishments.
    • Missions: As they gain levels by participating in the community their top missions will be highlighted.
    • Quests: Completed on boarding and advocate quests will show within the completed quests.
    • Expert Badges: At the end of the month, users that are the 'best of the best' will gain expert badges.

    • Missions are a quick way to see how a user is gaining points and levels in the community.
    • Missions track specific activities that users are taking within Jive and level as the user does those activities more and more.
    • For example, the Community Leadership mission will gain levels as the user is Followed or has their Profile viewed.
    • Inquisitive will track if the user is out bookmarking and downloading content.
    • Another way to think about it is that all those events a user can do will roll into missions and those missions can have more then 1 event feeding it with points, making it grow!
    Expert badge

    • Expert badges are handed out to the 'best of the best' at the end of every 30 day cycle in the community.
    • Users can re-earn them.
    • Each expert badge looks at which users gained the most levels across different missions and gives the top 5 in each category a badge.

    • New Tile to highlight on boarding or advocate quests anywhere your users visit.
    • Users will see progress in this tile for the selected quest.

    • Quests can be created to target specific Jive activity, these are mostly for on boarding users to the community or getting them to review key materials, follow important users or join specific places.
    • Admins can select the type of activity in Jive they want to promote, then choose what content, place or user that is part of this quest.
    • Choose an image, description, time limit and events.
    • Must be configured by admin in rewards  admin console.
    Tile: Advocate Experience

    • New Tile that specifically shows just advocate quests to users.
    • Users can navigate between all, in progress, completed or ending soon.
    • Must be configured by admin in rewards admin console.
    • Group needs less than max pages

    • Advocate quests contain custom, admin defined tasks that the user must complete to get the reward.
    • These tasks can be jive based or custom, which require the user to select a link in order to complete.
